After sixteen years of coaching male and female clients, from a variety of nationalities, cultures and in a wide range of organizations and roles, I realized that the women I coached could be divided into two groups: Those who are highly successful and those who are not reaching their full potential.
Although it is perceived that there is a glass ceiling for women in many organizations, there is also another clear reason behind that lack of advancement: women. They are the ones who are often limiting themselves with their own mindset, and by changing their approach, they could take advantage of many more opportunities.
This book aims to encourage women to think about why they are not getting what they want from their careers and lives, and how they can start to reflect on this. It is intended to be a combination of learning and action.
Structured in two parts, the first half details the 5Cs with practical tips and reflection exercises. The second half is a compilation of personal stories from successful women sharing their journey and learnings, hopefully to provide the reader with a source of inspiration.
