Executive Coaching

Working with senior members of organizations to bring out the best in them as leaders. We offer executive coaching in English or Japanese and have a strong track record working with c-suite level executives to front line managers. Typical challenges include themes such as building and leading teams, improving emotional intelligence, supporting Japanese managers in a western business environment, motivating and empowering direct reports, succession planning, how non-Japanese managers can work effectively with Japanese teams, leading change and communicating effectively at all levels.

We are always happy to work with client requirements and constraints however a typical assignment would be as follows:

  • Initial leadership assessment or use of a personality assessment tool such as Myers Briggs Type Indicator, 360 degree feedback, Hogan Leadership Assessment, Strengthscope or Harrison Assessment
  • 360 Stakeholder Feedback – we encourage use of minimum 5 sources (manager, 2 peers and 2 direct reports) to gain live feedback (conducted face to face or virtually) about development points and strengths of the coachee.
  • Coaching objective setting session – the coach, coachee, reporting manager or sponsor discuss appropriate coaching objectives for the program
  • Six to ten face to face coaching sessions at the coachee’s office or location of choice
  • Interim update and check in
  • End of program update and review
